Created in 2009 and revived in 2026, Botanica is a lush, surreal journey through nature’s changing imagery, following the rhythms of the seasons and the passing of a day. Set to an eclectic score that ranges from birdsong to Vivaldi, the piece blends athletic movement with larger-than-life spectacle. MOMIX Artistic Director Moses Pendleton combines athletic dance, riveting music, outrageous costumes, inventive props and pure talent to create an entertaining multimedia experience that will surprise, enchant and astonish.
This performance will include a pre-show Balcony Talk about MOMIX with Central West Ballet artistic director Rene Daveluy and a member of the company. It is free to ticket holders.
